It all started when I was eleven years old and a piece of writing by a classical English poet piqued my curiosity and eventually unfurled my eyes to a whole new and ethereal worly of poetry of which I was previously unknown. It was for the first time in my young placid life that a piece of literary work influenced my heart to such an extent that the whole night I was wondered if I, too, could put my feelings in black and white someday. And by morning, when I jotted down the first four rhyming lines of my life, I was on cloud nine and discovered my new love for literature. Since them I’ve always found it fascinating the way words hold an amazing power to tear apart a breaming soul and at the same time enliven an anguished heart.
‘Golden Blossoms’ is a collection of both sweet and bitter melodies that I discovered while sailing through different enigmatic phases of teen life. Since these poems have always smoothed my desolate heart, each time I’ve read them, I’m sharing this small collection with you all in the hope that my poems will put a little bit of sunshine in your gloomy days.
First of all,I would like to thank God for gifting me this beautiful life and then my parents for their undying love and encouragements in every dull and dreary phase of life. I thank all of my teachers for their invaluable lessons and all those people who are an integral part of this incomprehensible life. A special thanks to the whole Notion Press team, for this book would net be complete without them.
Last but not the least,a big thaks to you, my dear reader, for spending invaluable time on my book and choosing to be part of my life’s journey. I hope this little collection will put a little bit of joy on your elegant heart.
